The ATTAK SIGNS THREE PLAYERS

TROIS-RIVIÈRES, February 20, 2007 - Trois-Rivieres' Attak announces the signing of three defenders: Alex Surprenant, a left side defender as well as Olivier Brett and Danny Anderson, both center field defenders. All three have agreed to play with the Attak for the 2007 season.

Alex Surprenant impressed the head coach of the Attak, Marc Dos Santos, since the beginning of the camp. Trained at the National Center of High Performance (CNHP), Surprenant took part to the U18 champion team at the Canadian championships in 2006. He was also called up on several occasions to be part of the national team, for those less than 17 years old.

Olivier Brett has played for the Kodiak of Charlesbourg for the three last seasons. He also was a member of the Quebec team at the Canadian Games in 2000. More recently, he was part of the McGill's Redmen in University league, where he had a place on the first all-star team.

Danny Anderson has international experience, having played in the 3rd English Division and the Swedish Division. Member of the Quebec team and the national team from the very start of his career, Anderson played his university soccer with Pittsburgh's Robert Morris University (RMU), a team evolving in the first university division.

"The addition of these three players is certainly good news for the team", declared Dos Santos. "A mixture of youth and experience will enable us to build a solid defensive."

The pre-season activities

Attak will have open try-outs on March 22nd and 23rd in Montreal and Laval respectively. Players who have not yet received an invitation will be able at this time to come and try to impress the coaching staff of the Attak. The players selected will receive an invitation for the official camp, which will be held from March 26 to 31, in the Soccerplex de Lachine. The final team line-up will be announced during April.
