LONDON CITY @ ATTAK
2007-09-21
Last home game
The Trois-Rivières Attak (8-3-8) will play, Saturday, its last home game of the regular season against London City, at 4pm at the UQTR Stadium (106,9fm).
In eleven games played in front of their fans, the Mauricie team has recorded six wins, two loses and three ties. One of these games, played on August 4, was a 6-0 victory over London in the third round of the Open Canada Cup.
Trois-Rivières travelled to London on July 13 and could not do better than a 2-2 draw.
Marc Dos Santos hopes to register a seventh home win, which is crucial for the Attak to maintain its chances to top St. Catharines in the national division.
"We are still alive and ambitious to get the first place," he said. "We have to believe it's still possible. London will face a team that will only have one thing on their minds: winning the game. Our home crowd has been great and we expect them to continue supporting us, in our quest towards the finals."
London lost its last six games and has the worst record in the league with three wins in 18 games.
Trois-Rivières, however, has not lost in its last 16 games, including those of the Open Canada Cup.
In another very important game Saturday, St. Catharines will travel to Windsor to face the Border Stars.
The young Mauricie players honoured
The male and female regional select teams, who represented the Mauricie region at the Quebec games this summer in Sept-Îles, will be honoured by the Attak before the game.
