The Trois-Rivières Attak and the Italia Shooters drew 0-0, Saturday in front of 1541spectators at the UQTR stadium.

The Attak played a good game, but could not beat the Shooters goalkeeper, Pablo Alvarado, who made several saves to secure his team one point. Alex Surprenant, Sita-Taty Matondo and Nicolas Lesage, who replaced Massimo Di Ioia at 72 minutes, got the best chances.

Jon Paul Piques, the Impact third goalkeeper, made a crucial save at the 20-minute mark when he deflected the ball to his left.

"We won some games when we were not particularly brilliant, whereas today we played well but did not win," said Cédric Joqueviel, who was named the Attak player of the game.

"We did not get the three points, but the team played 90 minutes with a positive attitude to win the game," said the Attak head coach, Marc Dos Santos. "I am satisfied, it was a good performance, and the effort was there."

The Attak has a one-point lead over the St. Catharines Wolves in the national division. Both teams will meet next Saturday in a crucial match-up in Trois-Rivières.
