The Attak aims for a place in the final four
The Trois-Rivières Attak will play its Open Canada Cup third round game against London City, this Saturday at 4pm at the UQTR stadium.
Marc Dos Santos' men qualified for the third round after a 3-1 victory over Jean-Talon 2007 on July 27 in Montreal, whereas London had a bye.
The Attak played against London City on July 13 at Cove Road, London. The Attak players dominated its opponent but were frustrated by some decisions by the referees, and drew 2-2 against the last team in the national division.
"We are playing very well but now we have the pressure to win at home against London," said the team captain Boubacar Coulibaly. "We really want to win for the fans and also to advance to the semi-finals."
In the other two games of the third round, the Italia Shooters will be host to the North York Astros whereas the Windsor Border Stars will travel to Toronto to face the Portuguese Supra.
The winner in Western Canada will join the winners of those three games for the semi-finals and the final, which will take place at Cove Road, London, during the Labour Day weekend.
