Serbian White Eagles @ Attak

The Trois-Rivières Attak (2-2-2) and the Serbian White Eagles (3-0-0) will meet for the third time this season, Sunday at 4pm at UQTR stadium (CHLN 550AM).

After two narrow losses, the Attak hopes that they will win the next encounter. The desire to beat their Toronto opponent is indeed palpable within the team. "This game is very important for us, we want to succeed", said Elkana Mayard, who scored the equalizer with one minute left in the last game against the Italia Shooters. "We know them and we know what to expect from them, we will be ready. This time, at home, we will win."

The Attak lost 2-1, on May 18 in Toronto, and then 3-2, on May 27 in Trois-Rivières. In the last game between the two teams, Marc Dos Santos' men made some mistakes and lost their concentration in the second half, which were fatal. Therefore, the coach insisted on these points during the preparation for the game.

"Concentration is the key word when we play against a team like the Serbian White Eagles. The team that will do less mistakes will win this game. We know what we have to do and the players understand their roles and responsibilities for this game. If we play with the same character and determination that we did in the last game (2-2, @ Italia Shooters) we will succeed."

Beside their games against the Attak, the White Eagles played only one more game thus far this season, a 2-1 victory at home over the Canadian Lions. Since their first season in the league, last year, the powerful Toronto-based team has lost only one game during the regular season. The Attak hopes that this number will double on Sunday…
