FIRST LOST FOR THE ATTAK

A honorable lost against the Montreal Impact

The Trois-Rivières Attak lost its first pre-season game, 4-0 against the Montreal Impact, Friday morning at Soccerplexe Catalogna, in Lachine.

Jean-Louis Bessé would have preferred another result, but he was very enthusiastic following the game: "Our mistakes made the difference, and against a team like the Impact, you pay the price when you make too many mistakes. Nonetheless, I hope that we will get the chance to play again against the Impact."

The first Impact goal was scored by Martin Fabro, who received an aerial ball from Leonardo Di Lorenzo and then lobbed Andrew Olivieri. Frederico Moojen and Mauro Biello added more goals, and the Attak was behind 3-0 at half time of an otherwise even game.

During the second half, Marc Dos Santos made several substitutions, and the Attak continued to play well. However, Antonio Ribeiro made it 4-0 with a 30m shot 15 minutes from time. Sita-Taty Matondo and Fabian Dawkins went close to score more goals for the Impact, but Olivieri made a big save each time.

"During this game, we showed that if we work as a team, we will do well against any team in our league. This type of game is interesting for the local players, who proved themselves well. The unit and spirit in the team get stronger, and I believe that it will be a good season for the development of our players", said Dos Santos after the game.
