Darko Kolic scores two goals against his former team
St-Albans Vermont June 25th 2008.- It was a difficult night for the Attak FC who lost 2 -1 against the Vermont Voltage. The Vermont team was more prepared than they were the last time the two teams met, May 10th.
After a conservative first half, the Voltage Vermont went up a notch at the beginning of the second half. Darko Kolic gave a one nothing lead at the 52nd minute with a header. At the 78th, Kolic scored his second goal of the game. In the additional time, Guillaume Héroux scored his first goal of the season after a great pass coming from Alpha Bah.
Marc Dos Santos had difficulties to analyze this game. «The motivation is hard to find in an exhibition game mid-season», he explained. In spite of the defeat, the Trois-Rivières coach was happy with the spirit of the younger players. For this game, the Attak benefited from the help of David Nerio, Olivier Prud'homme and Francesco Augustin who played the entire game. In addition, the Attak had the best scorer of the 2007 Montreal Impact edition, Charles Gbeke. The team also had in its roster Pato Aguilera and Cristian Nunez, both from the Montreal Impact. Those three players will be in this weekend roster.
The Attak will play two games back to back against TFC Academy this coming Friday and Saturday. Marc Dos Santos wishes to come back with the 6 points available this weekend.
